This is a plastic model kit and assembly is required.
The Type 89 was Japan's first domestically mass-produced tank. Originally adopted as the Type 89 light tank, subsequent modifications increased its weight, and with the development of lighter, more agile tanks it was redesignated the Type 89 medium tank. Later, the Otsu (Type B) variant equipped with an air-cooled diesel engine was introduced; earlier gasoline-engined vehicles are referred to as Ko (Type A). This kit represents a late-production Ko (Type A) vehicle.
