The KIHA 58 series was a Japanese National Railways express diesel railcar that debuted in 1961. The KIHA 28 series consisted of trains equipped with a single engine. The KIHA 28-0 type is characterized by the absence of the small round windows below the passenger doors and the inspection hatches below the crew windows that were added on later 300 series cars.
