REMU 5000 Series Refrigerated Freight Car — 2-Car Set
The REMU 5000 series succeeded the Re12000 series of refrigerated cars, offering improved cooling performance, an increased load capacity of 15 tons, and a distinctive blue stripe around the body to indicate superior cooling capability.
Designed for temperature-sensitive cargo, the REMU 5000 was widely used to transport fresh fish across Japan, as well as beer under controlled temperatures in Hokkaido and dry ice shipments in the Kyushu region.
