The series 24 type 25-100 is a classic limited express sleeper car introduced in 1976. After the Asakaze 1 and 4 services were discontinued, several gold-striped series 24- 25 cars were transferred to the Aomori Rolling Stock Center and later operated on the Akebono, Nihonkai, and Hakutsuru services.
