The Seishin–Yamate Line of the Kobe Municipal Subway is a 30.2 km route connecting Seishin-Chuo Station to Tanigami Station on the Hokushin Line via Shin-Kobe Station. Although it is a subway line, there are sections where the trains run above ground.
The Kobe Municipal Subway type 3000 trains were manufactured starting in 1993, with a total of six 6-car trainsets produced. These trains were the first in the Kobe Municipal Subway system to adopt VVVF inverter control.
They feature a distinctive design with a large curved front window and a rounded front profile, setting them apart from earlier models.
The type 3000 operated alongside the older type 1000 and 2000 trains; however, with the introduction of the type 6000 from 2019, all units were gradually replaced. The final trainset, No. 3128, was withdrawn from service in July 2021.
-The train can be motorized to an N scale train and is compatible with TM-12R Motorized Chassis, TT-04R Trailer Conversion Kit, and Tomix 0258 Pantograph.
