Fukushima Transportation is a bus and railway operator centered in Fukushima Prefecture. Its railway operations consist of the Iizaka Line, which runs from Fukushima Station to Iizaka Onsen Station.
The series 1000 is the main rolling stock currently in service on the Iizaka Line. These trains were converted from Tokyu Corporation’s series 1000 and introduced between 2017 and 2019. They are also the first railway vehicles of the company to adopt VVVF inverter control.
In 2024, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Iizaka Line, one two-car trainset was wrapped in a special livery inspired by the red and cream color scheme used before the line’s voltage upgrade in 1991.
-The train can be motorized to an N scale train and is compatible with TM-06R Motorized Chassis, TT-03R Trailer Conversion Kit, and Tomix 0249 Pantograph.
