Kobe Electric Railway operates a rail network from Shinkaichi in southeastern Hyogo Prefecture toward Arima Onsen, Sanda, and Ono. The De 1350 Series is a two-car, three-door commuter train introduced between 1979 and 1987 as the first newly built air-conditioned cars in the 1000 series family. After repainting and formation changes, the trains now operate as fixed four-car formations made from two connected two-car sets.
