The Suhane 16 Type, created following the air conditioning modification of Ohane 17 and as a Second Class Sleeper until 1983, is now available in 1/80 Scale.

Real Car Guide: The 10-Series Coaches were lightweight Japan National Railways passenger cars manufactured from 1955.

• The Suhane 16 Type was produced by air-conditioning modification of the Ohane 17 Type, which combined prewar passenger car frames with newly built car bodies
• before modification, electric-heated and non-heated cars different bogies, but upon becoming Suhane 16 all were standardized to TR47 bogies

They were mainly on express trains and in later years on some overnight local trains coupled with sleeping cars, and were retired in 1983.
