The 100 Series Shinkansen is a Shinkansen train of the Tokaido / Sanyo Shinkansen that appeared in 1985.
Unlike the previous 0 series, the front part has a sharp shape called shark nose, and a two-story vehicle has been introduced as an intermediate car.
It was active on the Tokaido / Sanyo Shinkansen for a long time, but with the advent of a successor vehicle, it withdrew from the Tokaido Shinkansen in 2003 and from the Sanyo Shinkansen in 2012, and is now exhibited in museums and other places.
