The KIHA 261-1000 series is a limited express diesel railcar type operated by JR Hokkaido.
Overview
The 6th series debuted with a fresh white paint scheme featuring purple and gray stripes and introduced dual front driver's cab window wipers instead of a single wiper. The Hokuto limited express connects Hakodate and Sapporo and is normally operated with KIHA 261-1000 series formations of 5 to 8 cars, providing 11 round trips per day.
