The 50-5000 series passenger car is a vehicle used for the rapid "Kaikyo" of the Tsugaru Kaikyo Line including the Seikan Tunnel, which opened in 1988, and was remodeled from the 50 series passenger car.The seat was replaced with a conversion cross seat of the 0 series Shinkansen for cooling and fixed window of the sash window, and the appearance became blue with a white belt.
