F/A-18E Super Hornet 1/72 scale plastic model kit.
Includes masking seals for a sharp paint separation finish.
Developed as an evolution of the F/A-18C/D Hornet, the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet began deployment in 1999. Compared with the C/D models, it features a larger airframe and increased fuel capacity to extend range. It is powered by two F414-GE-400 turbofan engines. Armament includes a single fixed 20 mm M61A1 Vulcan cannon, and the enlarged airframe has a total of 11 hardpoints. The Super Hornet is a versatile multirole aircraft capable of performing a wide range of missions.
This plastic assembly kit reproduces the U.S. Navy carrier-based F/A-18 Super Hornet in 1/72 scale, modeling the single-seat F/A-18E variant. The kit includes masking seals for the canopy frame. The completed model measures 253 mm in length. Detailed mechanical landing gear, a finely detailed cockpit interior, and underwing armaments including missiles are included. Decals reproduce the markings of a VFA-115 Eagles aircraft based at Iwakuni, including the tail eagle motif, using Cartograf decals.
