Azusa Limited Express began service in 1966 and celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2026; originally running on the Chuo Main Line between Shinjuku and Matsumoto, it now operates between Chiba, Tokyo, and Shinjuku to Matsumoto and Hakuba; this double set features two E257 Series Azusa models: the Takeda Bishi Model, inspired by the Kai Takeda Clan family crest, and the Wave Pattern Model with a green stripe wave design; both are 3-car formations that can be connected and disconnected, both run motorized at one speed and can be hand-rolled with the switch off; rails are not included.
