Series N700-2000 is a format that appeared in the form of renumbering the N700 series to reflect some of the functions of the later N700A Shinkansen, and is still active today. The logo mark on the side has been changed to a logo with a small letter "A" added next to "N700", and it is familiarly called "Small A" by fans. They are operated as "Nozomi", "Hikari", and "Kodama" on the Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen.
