- Reproduces the same equipment layout as the 2400 production cars and a roof with the short exhaust pipe characteristic of the 2000 series
- Reproduces a three-dimensional obstacle deflector with multiple covers and hinges while maintaining the 2000 series silhouette
- Headmark "Uzushio" installed. Includes replacement headmarks "Shimanto", "Uwakai", "Ashizuri", and a blank headmark
- Slotless motor for smooth and quiet running; the N2000 3-car set is not fitted with TORA traction tires to facilitate multiple-unit operation
- Equipped with KATO’s original carbody tilting mechanism to reproduce the real train’s inward body tilt when passing curves
- Head and tail lights and headmark illumination (with on/off switch). Uses warm white LEDs
- Each car uses body-mounted close-coupling type couplers without hooks. The front end of the lead car is fitted with a dummy coupler; coupling obstacle deflector and coupler included
