The KIHA58 series, produced from 1961 to 1968, became the iconic express diesel multiple unit serving non-electrified lines across Japan (except Hokkaido), connecting city centers and regional areas. Configured for long formations on trunk lines and shorter consists in local service, the KIHA58 series offers flexible operation and realistic variety.
