Kato 10-2249 Series 211-2000 Yokosuka Livery 6 Cars Set (N scale)

Series 211 is a lightweight stainless‑steel suburban EMU that debuted in the final years of JNR. Since then, it has operated at the forefront of service on the Tōkaidō Main Line, the Takasaki Line, and the Tōhoku Main Line alongside the 113 and 115 series. From the 2000s onward, with the introduction of successor models, its role has gradually shifted toward suburban areas, and today it remains in service mainly in the Nagano area of the Chūō Main Line and the Takasaki area.

The Nagano‑area sets feature a light‑blue “Nagano color” line, but in November of Reiwa 7 (2025), JR East’s Nagano Branch introduced a special set with its stripe changed to the classic Yokosuka color, inspired by the 115 series that once operated in the region, as part of an initiative to revitalize local communities along the line. As the first 211 series to wear the Yokosuka color, it has attracted significant attention.

- Faithfully reproduces the exterior equipped with the PS33E single‑arm pantograph and reinforced skirt with snowplow

- Front destination display comes pre‑installed as “521M / Local”; includes replacement displays: “Rapid”, blank, and blank train‑number plates

- Body‑mounted tight‑lock couplers (without hooks) used on both cab ends and intermediate ends; includes diaphragms
