Kato 10-2169 Hoki 2500 JR Specification 8 Cars Set recreates the Hoki 2500 limestone hopper cars in N scale. The prototype was built from 1967 to 1969 as a 35-ton limestone transport hopper car, carrying limestone from Okutama on the Ome Line to Hamakawasaki on the Nambu Line.
This JR specification set represents the cars after the transition to JR Freight markings, when the ownership/assignment markings were changed for the JR era. The set is ideal for recreating late-period limestone freight trains, especially when combined with EF64 1000 locomotives and related Hoki 9500 cars.
