The Sullivans is a U.S. Navy Fletcher-class destroyer named for the five Sullivan brothers, who were all killed when the light cruiser USS Juneau sank during the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal. The ship served throughout the Pacific theater in World War II, later took part in the Korean War, and after being struck from the register in 1974 it has been preserved as a museum ship in Buffalo, New York. The Sullivans is one of only four surviving Fletcher-class destroyers in the world.
