It's time for the Dragon to reign again with the new Pokémonexpansion SM6a Dragon Storm! For the first time in the Sun and Moon era the PokémonTCG is focusing on one style and one style only. The mighty Dragon Pokémon!
Released on April 6 th and available to pre-order from Plaza Japan now, this 53+ card subset follows on from Forbidden Light in ferocious style, with GX cards limited exclusively to Pokémonconsidered as Dragons - though their type may vary!
Could this Dragon Storm be being whipped up by Dragonite GX? The old Kanto favourite has jetted in in GX form for the first time, and he's brought some of the most powerful Dragons in the game with it! Dragonite is joined by Legendary Pokémon Reshiram GX and White-Kyurem GX who, whilst are dragons, are Fire Type and Dragon Type respectively. The final Dragon comes from the sea! Kingdra GX makes up the fourth and final GX Pokémonas a Water Type. As usual, all GX Pokémonwill also come in beautiful "SR" and "HR" forms!It wouldn't be much of an expansion without Prism Star cards. SM6a introduces two new Prism Stars into the mix and these powerful cards firstly return in the shape of Victini, the mythical Pokémon. The arrival of Victini as a Prism Star isn't a huge surprise as it appears only "mythical" Pokémonare getting the Prism Star treatment so far.
Victini is joined by one of the most powerful and popular Trainers in the franchise - Lance! Back on the Dragon theme and specialising in Dragon Pokémon, the final member of the Elite Four from Kanto in the original Red, Blue and Green games is the other Prism Star card introduced in Dragon Force - would you expect anything less from the most iconic Dragon-PokémonTrainer around?
The incredible Dragon Storm expansion is completed with some brand new Items and Trainers. The Item designed to give your Dragon Pokémonboost, Dragon's Talon will damage your opponents Pokémonwhen your Dragon Type takes damage! Will it get a golden “UR”card? Moving on to the Trainer cards, another Kantonian returns! Things are hotting up as Cinnabar Island Gym Leader and keeper of the Volcano Badge, Blaine, is one of two new Trainer cards - prompting speculation over what could be an incredible Full Art in "SR" form! The other brand new Trainer is again a Dragon-Type Trainer. Zinnia, Lorekeeper from the Hoenn region, ensures that this Dragon Storm isn't about to pass over!
